Airtel

Bharti Airtel started its telecom services business by launching mobile services in Delhi (India) in 1995. Since then there has been no looking back and Bharti Airtel, the group’s flagship company, has emerged as one of the top telecom companies in the world and is amongst the top five wireless operators in the world. Airtel is operating in 17 African countries.

Airtel Tanzania was launched in October 2001 and is now one of the leading company providing cell phone services to over 11 million Tanzanians. Airtel Tanzania is committed to a variety of social projects including computers and teaching aids for schools, and the provision of mobile telephony in remote areas such as fishing zones in Lake Victoria.


Tigo

Tigo (Millicom) provides affordable, widely accessible and readily available prepaid cellular telephony services to more than 60 million customers in 14 emerging markets in Latin America and Africa where the basic telephone service is often inadequate and where economic development and rising personal income levels are creating increasing demand for communication services.
Tigo Tanzania was established in 1994 as the first mobile network in Tanzania. It is amongst the top three operators in Tanzania and is focus on innovation as it has recently launched its 4G network.


Vodacom

Vodacom Tanzania is Tanzania’s leading cellular network company, providing cell phone services and offering a full range of communications and data solutions for business clients. The Vodacom M-Pesa service is the most developed mobile payment system in the world and is used by over 7 million Tanzanians to reliably and securely transfer money.

Vodacom Tanzania is a subsidiary company of Vodacom Group (Pty) Limited, South Africa which is also a subsidiary of Vodafone Group UK.


Halotel

Viettel Tanzania which operates under the brand Halotel, was launched in October 2015 in Tanzania and has already deployed in all 26 Tanzanian provinces. The company aims to provide a very wide coverage as quickly as possible.

Viettel Group is Vietnam’s largest mobile network. Viettel focuses to expanding in developing countries and has successfully developed telecommunication services in Asia, Africa and Americas.
